SiFu Carina Cirrincione of Raven Studios just launched her new site today. For the best in training weapons, custom weapons and mok jong dummies, both wood and pvc visit Raven Studios. I have been using her training weapons and mok jong for years and the balance, quality and the fact that each one is handcrafted by Carina herself as she has no employees ensures you will get training tools that will last a lifetime whether it's for personal use or for your martial arts schools. We are martial artists and it is only fitting we train with tools that are created by an artist.

Mok Jong What We Can Learn From The Wooden Dummy
The Mok Jong just like anything can be broken down into very deep levels of understanding. One of the main principles is as the dummy is stationary it teaches us correct distance, posture, position and how to move around a fixed object or when the force is too strong, when that object (opponent) is in motion we now know the correct distance, posture, position to make the opponent move around us. Over time your motions become smaller and more difficult to detect. The dummy is an invaluable tool, remember it is not a punching bag, tapping the dummy with correct structure can build and condition the body, beating the dummy only damages a very expensive training tool, (both the practioner and the mok jong).
