State of emergency declared for LI firehouse infested with mold

A Suffolk firehouse has been declared to be in a state of emergency by the village board of trustees after members discovered a mold problem.

Firefighters hit again.  Common problem in government run and owned locations due to lack of maintenance.

I have a mold problem in the basement. The house is 12 years old. The basement is finished. Unfortunately I did not have the basement properly ventilated nor did I put a dehumidifier in the basement until about a year ago.

There are ways to prevent complete tear out.
