Teacher sues, says she was fired for refusing to work in mold-infested class

In a lawsuit filed in federal court on Friday, a former teacher who worked with the Northwest school district claimed that she was discriminated and retaliated against because mold in her classroom made her sick and she missed too many days from work.

If she is correct, this could affects students as well.

Durant student protest raises health questions about mold exposure

DURANT, Okla. (KXII) -- Students in Durant walked out of school Wednesday over concerns about mold in the building, but a local health specialist said mold is much more common than some may think.

The students do have a legitimate point and reason to be concerned.  You don’t just get rid of the humidity/moisture problem and think everything is okay. Humidity/Moisture is the cause, but even when it is corrected, the mold just doesn’t disappear.
