Gonna paint over this drawing in this moleskine sketchbook with oils. Pictured on the right is what I'm using these days to prepare the paper for oil painting. I used about 4 coats of transparent gesso mixed with a bit of water and sanded it down in between layers to keep it smooth. Then I did some acrylic blue washes over the top with some GAC 100 by golden for fun. I really like using this surface for painting since it's smooth enough but still has a bit of texture. The final painting is for the moleskine project at @spoke_art gallery. Thanks to @mckenzieeckels for modelling. I'll have some more progress shots soon.
