No context, except that this was made with a good friend of mine.
I'm opening my commission soon!!! Here is my new commission price list for those who are interested! I'm also making an additional "special" commissions category for stuff like reference sheets and concept art. Stay tuned for that! See link for details! http://fav.me/ddrn06l
I think the most iconic part of Exodus is when God releases the frogs upon Egypt.
Practicing some semi-realistic shading styles!
IT’S BEEN SO LONG SINCE I’VE DRAWN ALL OF MY CHILDREN IN ONE PICTURE
There are twenty two members of the Empress' Royal Guard: 20 Talons (soldiers/primary guards), 1 General (Glacaier Artanis), and 1 High Commander (the Empress herself). The Guard are all elite members of the Imperial Army who are perpetually on duty, either literally standing guard in Kraken's Keep (previously named the Athrae'aen Palace, after the first empress) or commanding specialty operations elsewhere in the empire. Each Guard member has their own set of specially armor crafted by Mountain Dragon arcane smiths, commissioned by the Empress. This armor is infused with arcane energy, allowing the leather and metal plating to be greatly resistant to elemental attacks (there are exceptions, of course). Each set costs a fortune, and sometimes takes years to craft, but the end product will last the entirety of the Guard's life. Each armor set is custom, and accommodates for each dragon's varying spines, horns, fins, and ridges. There are only a few areas that are not well protected by the armor, and those are the wings, the throat, and the soft fleshy portion where the leg connects to the body. Each armor set is altered due to its wearer's fighting style. Those that prefer to stalk enemies in the dark wear lighter armor, mostly leather. Those that prefer to charge head on into the fray generally choose to be covered from head to tail in interlocking plate. Most prefer a mix of both in order to maximize mobility and protection. Each member of the Guard must have a specially cut hole carved out of the base of their wing membrane in order to secure the belly and back sections to the body. This hole, after the strap is passed through and fastened, is carefully covered up again with leather patches so that flight is not impeded. Some Guard members choose to further customize their armor by adorning their claws, tails, horns, and/or wings with blades or other weapons. These can often be unwieldy, but quite deadly if used in the right claws.
