Obsessed with her
Molly Phillips- Used to be Young (So Weird)
This song is just too perfect for Molly. I really wish we could have delved more into her tumultuous teenage years and that Disney hadn’t scrapped alcoholism episode Chrysalis. Such a deep character with a complex background and they just don’t make tv moms like this anymore.

Was anyone else kind of impressed that Molly knew both chords and lyrics to some random Civil War song?
“I wonder if that pizza place delivers.”
I wonder if they offer tent-pitching services. #poorNed
“It’s like, you’re not suppose to ring the doorbell of an empty house, ya know?…Something might answer.”
“It’s Fi! She’s lost!”
Love the use of the camera pan to really highlight that moment of panic when Fi realizes she has no clue where she is.
“Right Fiona, call him Big Foot. What’s his middle name? Fuzzy?”
“Listen, this whole ESP thing is your gig, not mine. But if you can read my mind from wherever you are, please give mom a sign or something, will ya?”
This scene tells us so much about Jack. He may be the staunchest non-believer, but even he will tiptoe into the paranormal if there’s a chance he can use it to help his family.
When Jack asks Fi what happened to her in the woods, she tries to brush it off with a joke about her weird hobby. But Jack’s face let’s her know real quick that excuse isn’t going to fly. This is the first of many times that her investigations cause her mom and brother to worry for her safety.
This episode is one I love. There are so many great moments and insights into the Phillips family dynamic. I especially love Jack in this one (he’s my favorite character, in case it hasn’t been obvious in these reviews). And the way Fi puts the creature’s safety over her desire for proof shows the maturity of her character. Overall, a definite top 10 episode.
Okay, so, Disney’s So Weird begins in 1999, and Fiona Phillips is 13, already into investigating the supernatural, and already has a web site about it.
At that time, Sam Winchester is 16 and doesn’t have many friends, but he’s already known about the supernatural for eight years.
Being the tech savvy guy he is, I am 100% sure that teenage Sam was using Fi’s web site to find out lore for his John Winchester’s hunts. Doubt Sam had reliable Internet access yet, so he was surely not one of Fi’s regular Internet friends, but I bet he popped on whenever he could and I’m sure he considered Fi a friend (because it’s not like he had a lot of them, especially that he could talk about monsters with.)
Probably got that Molly Phillips album as soon as it came out too.
Anyways, I’m imagining that Fi’s site became a really important resource for hunters in later years and I’m wondering how much of that was because of teenage Sam telling every hunter he met about this “really cool web site.”
When exactly did Molly have time to attend college?! Even if you use the odd character timeline season 3 created for her it doesn't fit in. Was she attending college WHILE touring with PKB and having babies? Don't get me wrong I know a career/parenthood and college is possible...but I really don't see how its possible for her in these circumstances. Especially when online/remote learning won't really be a thing at the time. To me she she wasn't a big fan of school and the second she graduated high school she hightailed it out of there.
