I understand completely why they didn’t go this route: Castle Rock was never a show that was meant to be built around a childhood romance. But God, I wanted them together.
They had so so so much chemistry and a kind of genuine concern that manages to be sweet without seeming like a perfect, cookie-cutter love story. I loved them together, and shipped him the entire season.
My eyes were glued to the screen every single time they shared as scene with one another. I shipped them so hard, and I wish they were a more noticed couple in general fandom.
