Fic series rec: And it’s Surely to His Credit (Glee/The West Wing)

Its a new year and another chance to rec one of my favorite Glee fic series. Written by the lovely molly-aster (zizes over on LJ), this verse crosses over Glee with the West Wing and follows Kurt on an alternate path after his NYADA rejection in season 3.

1st in the series

Title: To the Victor Characters: mainly Kurt/Blaine and Burt, with guest appearances by Carole, Will, and all the kids (Glee); Josh Lyman, Donna Moss (The West Wing) (note: absolutely no familiarity with The West Wing is required) Rating: PG for language Words: 5,500 Warnings: None. Spoilers: Through 3x07, “I Kissed a Girl” (Glee), end of series (The West Wing) Summary: It feels good to win.

2nd in the series

Title: And It’s Surely To His Credit Rating: PG-13 Pairings/Characters: Kurt/Blaine (Glee); Josh Lyman (The West Wing) Words: 980/ Spoilers: End of season 3. Summary: Kurt has a back-up plan. It just takes him a while to remember it.

Title: Whitehouse.gov Characters: Kurt/Blaine, Burt, Tina (Glee); Josh, Sam, Ginger, Ainsley (The West Wing) Rating: PG for fleeting expletives Words: 3,300 Spoilers: All aired episodes for both shows. Summary: Kurt’s first day in the office. New job, new email address, new direction.

4th in the series

Title: Shall Not Be Denied or Abridged Characters/Pairings: Kurt/Blaine, Burt (Glee); Josh/Donna, Sam, Lou, President Santos, a few cameos by others (The West Wing) Rating: PG Words: 6,600 Spoilers: 3x22 (Glee); end of series (The West Wing) Summary: The First Lady goes off message, and the political gets personal.

5th in the series

Title: Private, First Class Characters: Kurt (Glee); Josh, Sam, Ainsley (The West Wing) Rating: PG Words: 2,500 Warnings: Character death, grief Spoilers: Through 5x03 (Glee); end of series (The West Wing) Summary: Kurt is at the White House when he receives terrible news. Josh and the other staffers — no strangers to tragedy — do what they can to help.

A Glee/West Wing crossover that starts off in Season 3 of Glee and goes AU at the end. By the wonderful molly-aster, it captures both sets of characters beautifully and is one of my favorite Glee fics.

I don't know many tbh but I guess phoebe strole as ilse cause I actually saw her in that part and she did a very good job

I don't think either one is overrated actually but I guess I'll go with wicked because I've only seen its begining and rent is one of my favorites so

wow I like all the shows I've seen very much this is tough but I guess how to succeed??? it's not one of my favorites so I guess I'll go with that haha
