Am i the only one who is a little disappointed to see some ASMR creators using AI to generate their thumbnails? I know that they put a lot of effort into their work and it takes a while to record and edit and put together the whole video and using AI can cut corners and save time. Its just weird to see something that was generated with no thought or emotion be the first thing you see when viewing their hard work. Having AI represent your work that you spent hours on just seems odd. I mean if you read a book that had an AI generated cover how can you really be sure a human wrote it?

I know it takes longer to commission an artist or draw it yourself or even use a low quality drawing you found on google with no signature on than to just write a prompt and easily have a cover but it just feels lifeless. In my opinion it really takes away from the authenticity of the video. I would much rather have a blank screen with writing on than something that isnt made by a person.

I know this is all my opinion and AI can be a good opportunity for people to have better quality images that have no copyright complications but it really doesn’t sit right with me.

Then not to mention the environmental factors, generative AI is awful for the environment and a huge cause of pollution today. Im not going to get into the complications of it but having man made art to represent your work just feels more authentic and meaningful. Im not here to hate on any creators as people can do what they want and some random person on the internets opinion means absolutely nothing but i just wanted to know other peoples opinion about it.
