Today is the twenty-third anniversary of the day that @chibipika and I coincidentally both started writing ridiculous Pokémon fanfics involving legendary hybrids! This year I have crudely illustrated what if Jade and Chibi/Nine as well as Mark and Molzapart were summoned to Pokémon Mystery Dungeon as rescue teams, and then they met.

It has now been 22 years since the fateful day that @antialiasis and I sat down to write fanfics involving dumb legendary hybrids, and as usual, here's some crossover art to celebrate the occasion! Featuring an epic battle between Nine and Molzapart.

It’s been eighteen years since that fateful day that @antialiasis and I both sat down to write our first Pokemon fanfics.  And look, one time I wrote a whole essay on why TriLugia is totally the strongest fake legendary hybrid ever, so I should finally put my money where my mouth is and immortalize a fight with Molzapart, huh?

After Mew and the legendary birds ran away, Molzapart started to train itself and at last it reached level 100. But it wanted more, it wanted to become the most powerful pokémon ever, so it trained even more and with help from its psychic powers, it finally managed to get over level 100 with experience. When it then reached level 255, it used all of its psychic powers to get even farther than the only other pokémon capable of getting over level 100, Missingno., and got itself to level 256. After that, it had to rest for three years because of the power that required, but then it could train itself forever without help from the psychic powers. No one knows for now what level Molzapart is currently on.

Today it has been twenty-two years since @chibipika and I both independently sat down and started to write dumb fanfics about legendary hybrids. In 2017 I celebrated by drawing baby Molzapart and Rainteicune with regular-sized Chibi the Zapdos-Pikachu (not to be confused with Chibi Pika the author), with elaborate reasoning about how my own effort Molzapart and Rainteicune was never finished and remained a short silly thing whereas Chibi's The Legendarian Chronicles grew up over the course of many rewrites. I had to protect the city. I had to protect the Legendaries. I had to do something. And I couldn’t possibly fight the Rockets head-on. But what if there was another way? I was tired of doing nothing. Tired of being powerless. I actually had a chance to make a difference this time. How could I turn that down?

If some trainer thinks he can capture it, nothing can stop it from killing the trainer and his pokémon and use its psychic powers to make everyone forget the trainer, even his parents.

@chibipika's fanfic The Legendarian Chronicles is twenty years old today, as is my very first fanfic and precursor to TQftL, Molzapart and Rainteicune. The former is still ongoing, has gone through numerous revisions, and has a very good dramatic scene about the protagonist making a pivotal decision to try to capture Lugia. The latter is brief and unfinished and extremely silly, but did feature this cheerful Pokédex entry for Molzapart. Clearly this is the most appropriate dramatic crossover.

Today is the eighteenth anniversary of both Molzapart and Rainteicune and @chibipika’s The Legendarian Chronicles! Here is Molzapart flying Chibi somewhere that would probably actually only be like a forty-minute train in real life, which is probably why he looks so unamused.

I went for some thicker outlines here than I’ve been doing and I kind of like it. I may ink more things like this after this theme month.
