Ok so there is this scene in the new chapter and I need to talk about it.

This is the iconic scene. The famous gay panic Momo moment! The momato! And a lot of people already talked about it and from what I see most people interpret it as Momo being shy about the hole thing because he tian wants them to pick the studs together. And sure that probably plays a big part here but I think you can also see that scene in another light.

That saleswoman just asked he tian if he wants to give the studs to his girlfriend. And as an answer to that he tian grabs Momo, looks straight at that saleswoman and says “what do you think”. He is not saying that to Momo. He is not even looking at him. No he looks at that woman und smiles. Momo isn’t looking at he tian either. He stares at that woman and than blushes in the next panel while she is watching him. Unfortunately we don’t see the look on her face but think about it. In that situation he tians words where most likely meant for her. He didn’t ask Momo for his opinion. He asked that lady “what do you think” ...about my boyfriend? ...will suit him best? ...why I’m here with him? If I were her that’s what I would understand. And that would be apparent on my face in that moment. No wonder Momo immediately goes into panic mode and runs out of the store.
