This is a night @denisiotruitt and I would be sneaking peaks at the love and hip hop cast- finding snarky remarks to “hashtag” in our real life in any given situation because Joseline Hernandez is one quotable boss and we love a good laugh and super strong cocktail. | I haven’t felt that Home in a while. You can tell when I’m happy because there’s tons of “happy weight” on my frame and us girls will spend a quick 29 mins dressed only to end up complimenting each other to tears and starting all over again. I feel at home within my many circles of sisterhood. In fact I learn through love so well, that my life feels stagnant when I’m far away from all those that reciprocate my energy. I’ve been sad, y’all. And trying to come out of it. I’m down 10lbs than I was last week. Down a good 15 from this photo and as much as I feel like I have my stress under control, the fact my clothes are falling off of me makes it feel a bit extreme. So who’s going to cook for me? Because mama is tired and all her sisters are far away at the moment. Who heals the healer, y’all? "If I gotta glow up on a n*gga, imma make it look sexy" Let's just be real, anyone still struggling to truly accept themselves, their story, their past and their karma- will not respect nor congratulate yours. This is why SELF love and SELF Care are truly important. I've taken great lengths to protect the anonymity of my truest being. Why? Because the world is a scary place and hurt people usually grow on the hurt some more people during their process. I'd like to call that "life". It's the reason my anxiety probed me into changing the name my mother assigned me at birth. This is why I have a hard time responding to Direct Messages and emails-- this is why I'm always fighting for fresh air and comfort. Because my vulnerability does not come without a price. It does not come without personal opinion It is not always met with love- sometimes it's chastisement and screen shots in group text that I don't even know exist. If I worried about all the voices I hear as I walk through the Forrest alone, I'd be driven crazy- my skin would be bad- my hair wouldn't be growing. These squats wouldn't be banged out. These orders wouldn't be shipped. These books couldn't be penned, these plans can't just work themselves out. I have to apply all that I've grown from, to propel me to the next level. You know me as Eryn. Okay! so true story, right? I first came out when I was 12. I sat next to my mother as we watched the oscars... Billy Bob Thornton had just deeply kissed the woman I had just mentally proclaimed as my "girlfriend" and I felt HOT and JEALOUS. I turned to my mother and said "ma, I think I'm gay." And she gave me a look and her response stunned me into silence. I later retracted my declaration for another 6 years.. however looking back on it what my mother was trying to shield me from was having to explain my new found glory to other people. There were still misconceptions that same sex relationships relied heavily on sex, and to be honest- I wasn't even considering sex at that age. So when I came out, I was in a new school running for Homecoming Queen alongside the young woman I would go on to lose the home coming crown to/ then date/follow to college/and almost marry for 3 years. So now that I'm this mom thing, you'd think 💭I have my identity figured out.. "adult usually do" but what I found myself dealing with was shame of my Queer-dom, afraid to date who I like because of who would mention it. I'm shedding new layers in my Motherhood. Acknowledging my blackness, my queerness and the fact that none of this has changed since I've given birth. Just being at peace with the love that has always flown from my heart. So when I saw this bikini from target.. I can't stop moving. I am always looking to do more, be better and not ambulance chance after short blessings. I want longevity. I want stability. I want results. I'm sacrificial and it shows in my work ethic. Today I am resting. Emails are on hold. Everyone is posting about a "snow day" and I'm over here in frolicking outside in one of my #GotBrujeria Leotards. I picked these converses up a few days before I turned 26. Get Free Friday- when my sister @jchavae called me this morning- she insisted that we spend the day together. I liked that. We've both been fighting our way through a season of self doubt and the crippling sensation that cold weather brings in. The weather called for a few inches of snow, and I'm already wondering when I'll be on a beach again. But target is really just as nice. And it's even better when you find a pair of bell bottom JEANS that hug you just perfectly ✨. Not only did they make my booty look nice but had I paid attention to the size tag I honestly wouldn't have picked them up. I haven't fit into anything less than a size 10 since my freshman year of college & after Sirius, I wore a 12/14. These beauties 👖 , a size 6 now not only made me feel hella confident but I realized at any size I am, I refuse to feel less than proud. Just like I was to find hear jeans and then see them on sale for 75 percent off of the original price. I lucked out, my hard work pays off. PS: a few of you lovely ladies have inquired about my weight-loss process and I honestly haven't had much of an answer lol but it made me realize, I may actually be a real life brand now- should I include life coaching to my bio now? The war on my body is not just in my head. I see it everywhere on my timeline in the comments section- everywhere really but in ny daily life. Because when im alone, whether it be at noon or midnight this vessel is the safest place I inhabit. It's shelter and it's attached to my health, how well I am able to preform, or how much energy I have to dispel -- the unshakable love and adoration I have for this body- after sexual assault- after assault. Childbirth. Miscarriage. Abortion. You name it... Let my timeline/media tell my story and I should be ashamed of myself. Although none of those claims, or opinions, have ever feed, loved or financed me... I guess misery truly does love company.
