So, I'm a witch. Well, a baby witch.

And my mom does not understand anything about it at all. She's really careful with things, because she believes in God, but is also spiritual.

And from her perspective on witches....is not a good one

But she can't force me not to practice, nor does she try to make me believe in god/jehovah.

So when I go off being super excited about being contacted by Persephone and Hades, she doesn't understand anything. Or when I do my little jars and spells with moon water. Why I have tarot cards and such.

But I love my mom for what she does. She may not understand anything, but still listens. When I was rambling on about my altar and how happy I was to get contacted by my deities, she listens and tries to match my enthusiasm.

She may not exactly LIKE me being a witch. But she still tries to be open.

Sunday six (maybe early edition)

1. Groceries Shipt done, laundry started, beds stripped, soup made, and naps are occurring.

2. I love to shower and I haven’t gotten one yet today.....

3. 4 days away has made me a better Mom right now. Seriously, like I’m functioning and talking to them like I’m not currently a ball of stress. We will see how that changes when I go back to work.....

4. I watched the royal wedding, and all day today I keep looking at our little girl and thinking how she could potentially be a princess. Or how our boys could be a prince. Or just how more realistic it is that could happen. And then they do something extremely 2,3,or 4yo like and pull me back to a reality. But just for a moment, I was a 12yo girl again dreaming of being royal....

5. I am reading a cookbook, cause they are like novels for me sometimes. It’s “America The Great Cookbook” and ill be honest. The amount of chefs and recipes from the East Coast and California is offputting. It basically feels like they have forgotten there are other places....

6. I am thinking of hiring a person. I need someone to come to my house once a week and help by deep cleaning and organizing one space at a time. Once everything is sifted through and organized, I would love for them to continue on cleaning one a week or every other week. Does this exist????

I love how you move your shoulders & do jazz hands when we’re jamming in the car with daddy. Kid, you’re one of a kind. Being your mom is a privilege, a joy, & a precious gift.
