Kagerou Project Perfect Guide (2016) A.K.A. the most recent set of Kagepro character profiles with (still very much conflicting, and many with ages as ‘???’) “AGES” that we have.

Ayano (left) + Momo (right), both still with their CONFLICTING AGES of “16″.

- both are 10th grade high schoolers at these points of canon. (Ayano: before she died, “two years ago”) (Momo: in the present day, is also, now a 10th grader / 1st year in Japanese high school.)

* the Japanese school year

begins in APRIL (around April 1st) and ends after the next year’s MARCH.

- Ayano isn’t able to chronologically have her 16th birthday yet if she dies on August 15th, as she hasn’t reached November 22nd yet. therefore, she cannot age to ‘16′. this has also been noted multiple times by Japanese fans

- Momo is on the younger end of the same school year with her February 14th birthday, yet gets her conflicting age as well, as usual.

This is particularly noted by the Japanese fanbase on Momo’s Pixiv profile page (Japanese).

Moreover, if you pair up a deer and a bear like that, wouldn’t the deer get eaten?!!” 　　 “E-Eaten……?!” 　　 After suffering the wrath of those harsh comments, I looked at my test again. 　　 But, even I myself didn’t really know how it happened. Even though I put so much effort into it, my result was really too cruel. What would my mom say if I showed her this…… I didn’t want to imagine that.

This part of the story is also, written according to the feel of the song. Because in this song, Momo just said, "This is really embarrassing." , maybe everybody'll think that she's a lack of  self-consciousness girl, but she's attractive is NOT because of her own intention but it's because of her special power, so I made it as one of the problems she has to face. In this song, the guitar solo part gives you a feeling of "Will something good happen?" then in the end it hops into a happy end. But in the novel "the good thing happen" part the situation got better already. (laughs)

Kagerou Project producer Jin on song “Kisaragi Attention” & about character Momo Kisaragi’s concept from the Kagerou Daze Disintegration Book (published 2012) Bonus: “ Momo-chan is, designed to be a popular idol. From the start I’ve decided her power as “Eye Attention” therefore her character is based on expectation. But in real life, she’s not really popular. But because she said it’s disturbing to be an idol because you get lots of attention, so I guess it’ll be fine for her to not to be that popular in real life. (laughs) Her personality is EXACTLY like Shintaro. Because their siblings, so I made them really alike. ” - Jin, also on Momo’s concept (from the same publication) Extra Notes: - While Jin was the one who created Momo’s character / personality concept, an earlier official Kagepro artist, Wannyanpuu, was also the one who designed Momo’s overall outfit / look / character design. - Wannyanpuu drew Momo with a chain on her costume (Kisaragi Attention pv) because Sidu (another Kagepro artist and pv / music video animator) didn’t want to draw frills. - Wannyanpuu also fully animated the “Kisaragi Attention” pv, as well as the later “Otsukimi Recital” pv which also featured Momo.

Japanese References ~ ABBREVIATED School Years

In manga and anime, sometimes when characters are introduced by a panel with some text, there's a certain kanji followed by a number that doesn't make much sense. Such kanji are 小, 中, 高 and 大, and the numbers often range from 1 to 3. But what does it mean?!

小中高大

Basically, it's abbreviated way of saying which school year a character attends. The number tells whether the character is an ichinensei, ninensei, sannensei, etc. And the kanji tells the educational stage of the character.

shou roku 小６ means shougakkou rokuen 小学校６年 Ages 11–12. Sixth year elementary school.

* Relevant to Kagepro’s Hibiya & Hiyori (6th grade) in relation to their canonical birthdays going by the Japanese school system

kou ichi 高１ means koukou ichinen 高校１年 Ages 15–16. First year high school.

Although it was a commemorative autograph section for the release of MekaRelo, I’d wanted to tell him no matter what that I get strength from listening to Otsukimi Recital when I have to lighten up… So, I told him this, but I accidentally ended up babbling that Hibiya and Momo’s interactions were the most interesting to me and that I loved them. And then Jin-san said, “I like them too! What will happen to them from now on?? I’m really curious!” as if to dig into it. Of course I knew that he liked Hibiya and Momo’s combination, but the “What will happen to them from now on?” has been echoing in my brain the entire time…
