—oh well, actually, “inappropriate use of cigarettes and wheelchair” doesn’t even have any smut in it haha. it’s actually kinda sad.

aomine had depression and at some point he just didn’t care anymore what happened to him. he caused a car accident that left him paralyzed from the waist down.

the “inappropriate” use of cigarettes is that he doesn’t smoke to relax — he uses them like slow-motion euthanasia. the “inappropriate” use of the wheelchair is that he doesn’t use it at all. he just rots in bed, waiting for the end, because he doesn’t see any value in living anymore.

it’s a KagaAo fic. both aomine and kagami have their own struggles, and they cope with them in different ways. together, they manage to find a common language through their pain. even though they experience it in completely different ways, deep down they feel the same — there’s this thin thread of understanding between them. aomine sees in kagami something he himself lost a long time ago — a former version of himself.

the second one is basically a male momoi x aomine fic inspired by hanahaki disease fics.

i gave him way more depth and a complex personality compared to the original show version😭 he’s still boy crazy like momoi was, but now he actually has a lot better reasons to be obsessed with aomine — they’re childhood friends who genuinely share a bond.

he pretends to be in love with kuroko, but in reality he’s in love with aomine. since aomine is straight, he doesn’t want to ruin their friendship by telling him.

he also has beef with literally everyone because of how jealous he is, but he hates kise the most haha. he can see through kise’s ‘fake’ nice guy persona (i’m leaning more toward the two-faced manga kise characterization, for those who are confused). they’re even in the same model agency, which makes everything even messier.

in my head, aomine is a queen who needs his selfless servant — someone totally obsessed with him okay xd

i needed a character who would be that selflessly devoted, because honestly, i think that’s the only way aomine could ever “love” someone — he’s just too self-centered. i just can’t picture him trying for anything, let alone for someone else. and honestly?? that self-centeredness is what makes him so damn attractive to me lol.

i keep avoiding working on both because i don’t wanna go back into the mental space i was in when i wrote them ahaha… i am a gooner but a sad one🥀
