#BlackHistoryMonth celebrating Black yogis #Repost @yogasihnuu with @get_repost ・・・ ✨ As you get older and more independent, I fight the urge to catch your every fall.. I tell myself the only way you'll learn is if you hit the ground but even still, here I am to catch you. What challenges will you face when I am not around? Will you be ok? Will you know how to fall and get back up, fall again and rise. *tears* Will you remember that your sorrows can help shape the story? Will you remember to turn the tragedy you face into triumph? Will you be happy? As you create the narrative of your life, will you remember your own grace and how powerful you are? . . . As your mommy I notice the small things like the loosened grip of a held hand. Your fingers slowly sliding away while we cross the street, the sweat on my palms from nervousness even though my worried heart knows, you will be just fine. You are a smart girl who is learning her way. These are the little things that remind me that you are ready and you've got it. This is scary for me, but I am learning too. We are #warriors, we are strong and we grow together. I want you to aim high and know your value. I want to know you have the ability to do whatever you set your heart on. . . . You are still young but I mentally prepare myself for that moment where you'll say, "It's ok Mommy, I got it by myself." *omg more tears*.. and then I'll look at you with contentment in my spirit and respond.."ok, bb girl, you've got this." And you will know that no matter how much the grip has loosened, mommy is still close and will forever have your back. ♥️ #yazbotandthemommyunit #blackgirlyoga #momsincolor . . .
