Cindy & Mindy Truscoll are twins (from Mona's army). And there you have it: the twins of Pretty Little Liars.

So, I've started rewatching the series and writing down every note from -A to help back up this theory that's being poked at right now that's kind of based off of something I've said before.

I've only finished watching the tenth episode of the first season and confirmed the running theory of there being multiple members of the -A team since the beginning of the show.

Things have been signed both as -A and - -A. I know that we can't try to judge who -A team members are by handwriting since the show makes a point of reusing handwriting styles for multiple characters to throw us off, but I can assume that different styles in -A notes means more than one person writing them.

I dubbed the most reoccurring handwriting as "angry writer" simply because they more often then not write in all caps and their messages tend to be a little more "menacing". The other handwriting that's used I dubbed "gal pal" and it's only seen once (so far in my rewatch). It's a "friendly" note to Emily that's supposed to be imitating Alison, though it's not Ali's handwriting. (They made sure to make the handwriting the same for the note Alison wrote to Emily about "their spot" as her handwriting in her diary. It could just be a production error, but I like to think not.) Both of these style notes are signed with -A, though sometimes "angry writer" leaves the message unsigned.

So, at least two different -As judging by handwriting as well as message style. One seems more "whimsical" and reminiscent of the way Alison used to talk. It's very similar to things Mona says as well, so I find it safe to assume those messages were from her. Perhaps she was "gal pal". "Angry writer"'s style messages were typically handwritten and to the point. The most "playful" thing from them was "Ding Dong the Bitch is Dead", though there was another Wizard of Oz reference later on with "Lions and tigers and bitches oh my! There's no place like Homecoming  See you there." The nature of the message leads me to believe it's not from "angry writer", though the reference leaves me a little conflicted with that.

Then we have - -A which I think may be more than one person as well considering the reoccurring different message styles. There's "all caps double dash A" (THERE'S ONLY SO MUCH YOU CAN BURY, EMILY. YOU'RE NOT DONE WITH ME YET.) "[...] double dash A" (If only she could see how guilty you look...) and "blunt double dash A" (She knew too much.)

That's a possible total of five members already this early in the game. We know for a fact that Mona was one of them and was the -A who harassed Alison when she was younger. I think this group (or at least most of it) is what is later known as "Mona's Army".
