“Really? I thought he met them.”

“Yeah. Honestly, it’s not much of a spoiler to say that I became an Uncle the first time not long after I got to the school. He was older when Cantaloupe and I were born in the first place and I’ll explain more later.”

“Yeah... Orange is kind of old. He was born when Papa was in high school.”

“You know, I’m not that old either...”

“But you’re a papa.”

1 Year Anniversary of the Prisms! From Stratus to August Breeze, a lot has happened in fourish generations. I’ve been playing with this family for a year now. It’s a shame tumblr decided the beginning of the legacy had to go poof, but I at least kept track of my Prisms. I love this family so much. There has been so much craziness in this save, I’m definitely looking forward to the future of the Prisms.

I’m looking forward to how much will change over the next year... especially if I avoid another several month long hiatus.

“Much to his displeasure, Your grandfather had joined the ranks of the elderly. Though that didn’t slow him down. Now that I think of it, it may have. We went to Sulani not long after so he may have been different while we weren’t around. I think he’d prefer it if I kept thinking of him as I did before I left for the islands.”

“Grandpa must have been really old then if he was that much older than you.”

“I’m not that old, you little brat.”

“Are you sure?”

“He might be.”

“You’re joining in on this too, love? I see where they get this from. Wait until they do it to you.”

“Is Mommy old?”

“Nope!”

“Seriously guys?”

“It wasn’t long after your grandparents had been convinced that your grandfather had his birthday. We were all together for that birthday. Technically Cantaloupe and I were in school when Orange was born but your Aunt Tangerine wasn’t even pregnant with him at that point. I remember finding out about Orange. Things were pretty awesome at that point.”

“Gus. Quit jumping around in your story. Tell it properly.”

“Yeah Papa.”

“I’m confused. Was Orange born on Grandpa’s birthday?”

“No. Orange was born while your father was at school in Sulani. So a while after.”

“Hey, I’m not Blush. I told you it wasn’t going to be a good story.”

“But now I gotta know what happens next!”

“Once we had Mom convinced, we let her convince dad. Though to be fair, we had already asked him earlier and he was fine with letting us go so long as we came home for the holidays if Mom agreed. He would have taken over the convincing had your grandmother been more against it.”

“Well that sounds suspiciously familiar.” 

“Hi Mama, Papa is telling us how you met.”

“Is that so?”

“Yep!”

“Is this story age appropriate?”

“Yes? This part is and it’s not like I was planning on telling them details!”

“Uh huh.”

“Why do I get the feeling you don’t believe me?”

“Because you do things like teach the children to flip people off out of sight.”

“If they’re going to do it anyways, they might as well not come off as rude to others.”

“I- I don’t know how to respond to that.”

“Because I’m right.”

“Anyways, keep telling the story Papa!”

She did it diary.

Gingersnap came over for a visit today diary and she definitely looked different. I think the hairstyle she chose fits her nicely though I’m not too sure about the clothes. I think Monarch felt the same but neither of us said anything since, well, if that’s what Gingersnap feels comfortable in, then who are we to judge? It’s always good to see my siblings. My sisters visit fairly frequently though my brother barely shows up which saddens me.

Expectations diary,

They’ll get you. So Blush was being nice and things seemed to be going well but then Monarch made some suggestion which I’m pretty sure contained something of questionable legality. That’s when Blush scolded him. Admittedly it was nice to see that I wasn’t the only one who didn’t approve of Monarch’s methods of doing things but then Monarch brought up the whole vampires and how they kind of eat people. That’s when they both got into it. Both of them are older than me and yet they argue like children. I just hope Neapolitan doesn’t do this with his new little brother or sister.

Father son bonding diary, 

I’ve noticed that Cantaloupe has started to spend more time with Monarch which I think is sweet. They have quite a bit in common to be fair. Monarch loves spending time with the boys and since they started school he hasn’t been able to spend as much time with them since his work schedule starts not long after the boys come home from school. So having time with his sons is precious.
