Thinking today of my darlings - Chevy and Liselotte - who BOTH died on the 8th December, just 20 years apart

Don’t you think that it’s absolutely charming how in Philippe’s absence, Chevalier grew to become a best bro for Liselotte and help her take care of Phillipe’s baby 🥺

I mean just look at his face when they introduce Phillipe to his son. Aww he’s such a proud papa praising the baby for literally nothing just like every love blind parent does, while being amused how his actual dad is just lowkey terrified of the boy.

Showing Phillipe how to support a baby’s head?

Taking baby Phillipe and Liselotte for walks?

Looking so proud when other people praise the kid and so content when Liselotte pushes back after Françoise critises their her parenting methods?

Telling Phillipe (quite proudly) about the labor? Which btw means that he preferred to stay by Liselotte’s side during the whole process even though he clearly didn’t have to and Phillipe looks so not ready for his wife and the love of his life getting along that well

Looking at baby Phillipe with absolute adoration while lulling him to sleep?

I mean look at all that love in his eyes when he lets the baby go giving him back to his mom?

Excuse me sir, your parenting instincts are showing!

We all know that Phillipe already has a child and he takes no interest in her life whatsoever. And it must have been a bit shocking for him to see with how much tenderness his lover treats his son and how proudly he takes care of him.

And we don’t know if Chevalier is doing it because he just loves kids in general but I have a feeling that the real reason why he improved his relationship with Liselotte and got so attached to baby Phillipe is his desire to be a bigger part of his lover’s private life and fully participate in all aspects of it. And all I have to say about it: ✨so fucking adorable✨
