Found a photo of an old(er) sketch in my gallery. Of course, made by my roommate!
saw this and immediately thought of you!!
YEAAAAH I know this one!!! But I forgot about it, so thank you of reminding me of it! How did you come across this?
I really like the print! How it is drawn and blended into each other (did they need each other to get their influence? Wind to blow against your sails?). The text is also cool (and fitting for the fic! When I saw the words "the noble", I got a bit of an error and thought of the noble).
It is interesting that 'schelms', alongside rouge, also means a bit witty/funny. I think you can compare it to 'mischievous' or 'naughty'. Besides, the only Dutch exonym I know of 'Louis' is 'Lodewijk'. I do not know 'Louijsen'! I will look into this, mmm.....
Sorry for the late reply! I did not check my phone much, as I was on vacation. I was hoping to reply with a picture of a print located in the town I visited, but it was closed off for the week :")
but thank you so much! I was really happy to see your message <3.

Summary:
"Give me one good reason not to have your country extinguished."
He turned and saw Louis looking down at him from the balcony.
“Because you don't want that.”
Louis leaned over the balcony. “I don't?”
William picked up his gloves and put them on for the last time. “Without an enemy, you would have no purpose. No wind against your sails.”
Or 15 years later, Louis and William meet again to negotiate a peace that benefits both of them. But the stakes have changed over the years. Instead of Leopold, William visits Versailles.
sigh. why are there no gif sets or discussions about the women of versailles 2015? the overwhelming majority of my favourite characters are women but i can't find anything to appreciate or reblog on here
