We still use traditional hot foil embossing to create details on each frame. Why? There’s a unique shine that comes with using real gold foiling which a machine etch or engrave simply cannot replicate. This subtle but very important detail is why we make our frames the way we do, to provide a character and story within each one. #MONCmade #Inthefactory (at Naples, Italy)
SOURCE: This is Cellulose Acetate - It may not look like much, but this amazing material is made up from a mixture of natural fibres and plasticisers to create an elaborately coloured and malleable sheet material.
