THE POWER OF SACRIFICE For some reasons, this year has got me super charged up and all, I guess it's a product of me realizing I'm fast approaching my 30s. More than ever, I'm more concerned about leaving my prints in the sand of time, more interested in building a legacy. My mind is continuously filled with creating systems; systems that simplify our social experience. I'm so sustainability oriented nowadays: be great today but make tomorrow even greater. At this point, a lot of the sermons I have listened to over the years begin to make sense. How the Pastor goes on and on about giving. "Sow a seed today, reap a bountiful harvest tomorrow" he says. Trust me, a lot of these sermons are taken with a pinch of salt- lol- especially when dropping your cash is the most uncomfortable thing to do at that moment. A lot of us are too caught up in just living to realize the steps we take today would determine how secured tomorrow is. There is nothing better than some delayed gratification. Make sacrifices today, live like a King in the future. Some are too busy busy trying to fund expensive lifestyle to realize we got no single legacy for the future. Think about it, do I really need this V8 engine machine, why am I in the club every Wednesday and Friday, do I need to take that loan, do I find my life fulfilling, don't I deserve more out of life?? Etc. Sit down, write your life plans out, think of your excesses and how you can reasonable curb them. There is never a better time to make the necessary sacrifices than now when you are young and strong. Be more future oriented. Evaluate your finance today: cut down on that debt, spend less on life's frivolities, save some money, spend it on proper and well thought out assets, improve yourself, add value to the world. Basically, sacrifice as much as you can to unlock that everlasting flexing. #mondaymorningmuse #2017 (at Victoria Island, Lagos)
