Newfound
@faeshiftersmore wouldn’t let me tag the other one sorry
It has only been two days since he arrived in America. He hasn’t met many of the other students, but so far it’s gone surprisingly well. He was able to walk down the halls easily enough without hiding too much of his features. People still stare, still call him weird, even here. Not sure what he expected. He’s mostly stayed in his room while Hank was getting his name and such into the systems. Though rumors even found their way to him. Someone new is arriving.
Someone new is coming, which means perhaps a new friendship. If they are both new, they can bond over that he hopes. If they can stand to hear him butcher the English language. In the Circus, many languages were spoken by different people. English was a rare one. For the most part it was German, Swedish, or Russian. Christian was American but for the most part he spoke German. Taught Kurt a few slang words, but other than that Kurt’s English is abysmal.
Kurt straightens his coat in the mirror, looking himself over. He doesn’t have many outfits. The ones he does own are from the circus and really don’t fit well here. He sighs softly, making a mildly awkward face. Would it be weird to go and wait for the new person to arrive just so he can say hello? Won’t it be weird to meet him no matter the circumstances? He groans, pinching the bridge of his nose.
“Gott gibt mir Kraft...” he takes a deep breath and sets out. Wandering to the front of the institute, making it seem like he’s just wandering. Or.. At least trying. He looks more like he’s a giddy child on the first day of school. On occasion he skips a little or hops along. He hadn’t taken the time to actually look around. He’d been staring at the floor when he entered. Only three days ago he was in a burning church building, fighting against a man who’d abused he and his family for years. Now he’s here in this gorgeous place...
