Doodle of a few of my ocs, Ina and Kana!!
Ok I’m gonna talk about these two now (* ˊᵕˋ )
Murakami Kana (girl on the right) is the main protagonist of my project I started back in 2025, MONITUS.
She’s a cheerful high school girl who recently discovered she had quite frankly, life changing powers, after her 17th birthday. It was just the push she needed to start actively being apart of her own life. The other factor? Her best friend, Suzuki Ina (girl on the left). Ina contrasts her friend’s personality with her shy and overall stoic attitude. She approaches things head on and is serious at the right times. The logical type.
With that being said, she doesn’t believe Kana has powers at all. What a predicament!
Anyways, she’s been indulging in Kana for a while now but Kana has been non-stop rambling about her powers and is insistent that everyone else, including Ina, also has powers. She’s a very stubborn girl…Kana thinks she’ll be able to get everyone to admit their powers eventually. Ina is worrying for her mentality.
Let’s talk about her power actually! (Which she so famously loves to ramble about.)
Kana, from day to night, has a meter that only she can see.
Have you ever looked at the sun too long and had a blotch that covered your vision? It’s similar to that, it doesn’t necessarily prevent her from seeing but it’s always there for her to look at.
What does the meter itself actually indicate? Well…danger levels!
It’s pretty self explanatory :
1 being the least amount of danger
6 being the most
As long as she’s around danger, whether it be for someone else or for herself, the meter will fluctuate in its levels.
Seems like a pretty beneficial gift for helping yourself & others.
Or maybe not.
Who knows.
Here’s a short comic I cooked up a little while ago!
For extra context Kana presented herself very differently to others before she started talking to Ina. Also I feel it’s worthy to note these two have light-hearted nicknames for each other, Kana calls Ina Inana and Ina calls Kana Kan. They’re for the most part on first name bases without honorifics but you’ll see Kana occasionally refer to Ina with honorifics, particularly when she’s feeling extra appreciative of Ina which you’ll see here.
They care about each other a lot, like most best friends.

I hope you like them!! This is one of many of my oc projects that I’m pretty passionate about.
I’m currently working on progressing these two story wise as time goes on and I hope to make a lot of silly comics for them in the mean time.
