I was checking the map for somewhere to eat by the sea when I spotted this Monkey Sanctuary! Start that engine!! Bobbed along down all these wee country lanes till I landed at this absolute cracker. Big old Victorian garden donated to the monkeys. The majority of the guests are from the illegal European pet trade and have dietary issues and other health ailments but they love this gaff and can run around the massive enclosures making babies and having a laugh. There was a Catalonian woman there who told me how Capuchins say hi by raising and lowering their eyebrows once and that they can recognise this behaviour in humans. So there he was, the Alpha Cap Elvis giving me a quick brow shift and I replied with my own monkey eyebrow reply and he knew the craic! Loved it.
