I found a solution in a product called 2-D glasses that look like the 3-D ones you get at the cinema, but without them, I can't watch a 3-D film with any kind of pleasure. I vote for no more 3-D films. Plus, why do I have to shell out an extra $3 for something I cannot use or enjoy?

Curious: do any other stereoblind folk have trouble with touch screens?

I have no depth-perception. I constantly misjudge how far my finger is away from the screen and I usually tap a lot of air before I make contact. Also, if the screen is angled in any way, my perspective goes way off and I THINK I’m aiming for a button but miss completely, often hitting other buttons around it. At a touch pad kiosk, my friend saw me attempting to select a DVD rental a few years back and was quite aghast how bad my touch screen aim is. I was standing beside him so my angle to the screen was off, and therefore I was off.

And this is with corrective lenses.

This is how I see the world through Amblyopia. I hated to tell people this stuff all through my life. It was difficult to express and I didn't understand it myself. Why was everything different for me? Why did I have such a hard time in the world around me? So I kept it to myself, fearing I had failed, I was imperfect. I finally decided I had to figure it out.
