That eye is almost as obvious as mine and that makes me so fucking emotional. This is their big heroic scene, they've done it and they saved stars and they're both okay. And Ryan's lazy eye is so so noticeable. They did it and he looks like me. He saved TWO worlds and he did it with the same disability that I've been bullied and ostracized relentlessly for.

And THATS why this movie is so special to me. On top of it just generally being a cinematic masterpiece, the main character has my disability. Usually we're portrayed as stupid, as insane, as cooky. But he's the smartest person in the whole fucking universe here.

And THATS why diversity is so fucking important.

I have a lazy eye and I’m constantly called out for it and made fun of for it. I’m an adult, I go and order a coffee. The adult behind the counter laughs and calls her friends over. She can’t take my order because she is laughing so much and pointing at me. She asks me multiple times what’s wrong with me. I state my condition in simple terms before she asks again with a smirk.

It's genuinely so infuriating how people will see someone with even the slightest physical difference, and immediately begin acting like a petty highschool bully.

What is funny about the direction your eye is facing? How is that so hilarious that she can't even take your order seriously, and literally calls a group of people over to look at you like you're an animal in a zoo?

This idea started as a more ambitious thing about Pomni asking about Ragatha's eye but I kept Pomni complementing it.

While I don't think Ragatha's eye was nessecarily caused by her mom (as much as I kinda like the theory and Smile's likening it to a black eye) I kinda like the idea maybe Ragatha was either born with either half blindness or lazy eye or perhaps her eye got injured somehow and maybe Ragatha's mom ridiculed her for that or was harder on her to make up for that "imperfection."

That's why I wanted Pomni complementing Ragatha's eye. I love letting Ragatha finally get some love and complements after all the abuse she's been through (she could use it, girl has almost as bad a self image as Ralsei and it shouldn't be just Kinger and occasionally Gangle hyping her up.) and it allows Pomni to repay Ragatha's kindness to her in a good way too.
