It's now the first of the month. Nearly the end of the year. And as you have likely noticed, it's been a while since the last ask on this blog. This is for a couple reasons, the first of which quite simply being how busy I've been for the past while.
And the second, is why I'm here today. To be quite blunt, I've run out of motivation for the ask blog, for a variety of reasons that I'll go into shorty. And so, I have made the decision...
The ask blog is on hiatus for the foreseeable future.
I am in no way saying the ask blog is over or that I won't return to it. That couldn't be further from the truth. I like making asks and I do plan to make more in the future.
But I think it's about time...that I focus on something else for a change...Wouldn't you agree?
The Undertale: Monochromasis comic (ch 1-3) is officially back in production!!!
Pages begin uploading January 2nd, 2026.
Now I know that the previous times I've said this have kinda gone nowhere, but this time is different. For one, I've actually secretly been building up some momentum in the background for this.
Myself and @shigg315 have been hard at work preparing to get back into the full-swing of comic production, and not only are we ready...we also have a plan.
As you can see, we've got a lot of things planned out.
With the ultimate goal of finishing Chapter 3 in 2027.
Now, a lot of this is gonna depend on when exactly Underevent submissions open up next year, but I'm pretty confident we'll be able to get to Chapter 2 and make a trailer for the whole comic for Underevent.
You'll also notice that we have a bonus goal.
If we can find the time, I would love to be able to go back and remake the entire prologue + the first scene of Chapter 1. With the newer pages coming out, I am really no longer satisfied with how those first bits look.
But that's only going to be a bonus goal. If we can't do it, I'm gonna have to live with it....
Or more accurately, Shiggy's gonna shake me until I live with it.

Now.
If it's not already clear, this is why the ask blog is being put on hold. So, yes, that means that there won't be any asks for at least a year and a half. At least, not consistent asks.
Now the reason for this is two-fold.
1) It'll simply be healthier for the comic to not have to worry about focusing on making Asks while we make it.
2) And this one's pretty personal.
I just don't like the idea of the asks coming out before the first 3 chapters are done. If you aren't already aware, the asks (along with pretty much most content on this Tumblr blog so far) actually take place in the 4th chapter of Monochromasis. And this...has honestly bothered me for the longest time.
The reason why I still made this blog and did the asks anyway is because...well I just wanted to, and I didn't want to wait years to do it. But I can no longer bear that justification with just how much it bothers me to be making basically two parts of the story simultaneously
And honestly, the fact that there was so much Chapter 4 content is what demotivated me with the comic in the first place. And it's why after the first 15 pages, the comic hit a serious drought, only releasing 1 page in nearly a year and a half.
To put it quite bluntly, no more Chapter 4 content until Chapters 1-3 are done and fully released.
Or at the very least, there won't be that much released on the blog.
If we find the time for it, I could be willing to occasionally open up asks if I feel like it or for special occasions like birthdays/holidays. But for the most part, no asks.
