Another reason why she doesn’t like physical violence is because she believes that just touching someone (even just a tap on the shoulder or even a hug) is a harmful.
Sabrina associates happiness with fear because one will almost always lead to the other in her mind. She prefers to use the word “content” in place of “happiness.”
Not all her memories are sad or depressing. She does have quite a few moments of actually feeling genuinely happy; she just doesn’t label them as such.
She still remembers the day that she was introduced to the league as a weary but exciting moment. Though she’ll silently describe it as the day she met a very nice, kimono clad gal and a bunch of loud, annoying people.
There are days when she looks at the Saffron Dojo and wonder how things could have been or even how she should reconnect with them. She doesn’t even think that the latter is something that’s available. So far, the only family member who has tried to reconnect with her was her little brother, who doesn’t know her past just that they’re family. She tends to send him back to the dojo, not really sure if he’s even allowed to speak to her.
[I’ve actually been meaning to incorporate him into a plot some day, so if anyone want a plot around that, just ask?]
She’s a very self-destructive person.
[ I’m gonna put this in general, so all types of love. Family, friendship, etc. ]
Sabrina isn’t the kind of person who falls in love easily. She sees most people as furniture, things that are just there to be used when necessary. To her, it’s easier that way. There’s less thought on how she should treat others and more on how to “properly” set them in the right places. It takes time and effort on the other’s part to get her to see them more than just a pawn.
As a child though, it was entirely different, but I’ll leave that for another time.
