Is kemetism mostly monolatry or hard polytheist? Or it depends if the person is more of a recon or more of a revivalist?
Kemeticism is all three (yes, I know you listed two, but gimme a second).
Kemeticism can be polytheistic- meaning there are multiple gods that are separate entities.
Kemeticism can be henotheistic- meaning that all of the gods are facets, parts, pieces, or faces of one unknowable deity (or Creator deity).
Kemeticism can be monolatrous- meaning that you're able to place a god as being the Highest in the pantheon, though it is reversibly so.
The ancients utilized all three of these in antiquity. Henotheism became hella popular towards the middle of the New Kingdom, and monolatry seems to have been present throughout AE's history. Since most of our rituals are all about ass kissing and making that deity feel like they are the Prettiest Princess in the Whole World.
Modern Kemetics can run the gamut btwn these three approaches (though monolatry is more of an add-on to polytheism) and some are more henotheistic (referring to NTR as "Names") and some are more polytheistic. Though, truthfully, our pantheon is pretty "squishy" and "soft" no matter how you slice it- since the ancients loved to mix and mesh their gods together on a regular basis for a variety of reasons. I don't personally think that recon vs. revivalist is going to make the difference btwn whether you are more poly or heno, I think it's more about how you approach the gods and how they approach you. And what religious structure works best for your needs.
