Mercredi 18 novembre 2020, des agents fédéraux du département de la sécurité publique de l'Utah, aux États-Unis, ont découvert un mystérieux monolithe de métal en plein désert au cours d'une patrouille en hélicoptère. Mesurant plus de 3m50 de hauteur, ce bloc triangulaire planté dans le sol rougeâtre du désert ressemble étrangement au monolithe du film de science-fiction « 2001, l'Odyssée de l'espace » réalisé par Stanley Kubrick. À l'heure actuelle, personne ne sait comment cet objet s'est retrouvé à cet endroit. Il est interdit d’installer sans autorisation des structures ou des œuvres d’art sur des terres gérées par le gouvernement fédéral, peu importe la planète d’où vous venez », a déclaré le département de la sécurité publique de l’Utah.

On Wednesday, November 18, 2020, federal agents from the Department of Public Safety in Utah, United States, discovered a mysterious metal monolith in the middle of the desert during a helicopter patrol. Measuring over 11ft in height, this triangular block planted in the reddish desert soil strangely resembles the monolith from the science fiction film “2001, A Space Odyssey” directed by Stanley Kubrick. At the present time, no one knows how this object ended up in this location. “Unauthorized installation of structures or works of art on federally managed land, no matter what planet you are from, is prohibited,” the Utah Department of Public Safety said.
