summary: Bakugou has liked you for the longest without telling you, and now he’s suddenly find out out he’s in competition with Monoma!!

“HAH? MONOMA?!”

“Yeah I don’t know Bakubro, but it’s not looking so good.” Kirishima stood to the right of Bakugou as Denki filled the gap on the left side.

Kirishima and Denki had been updating Bakugou on what they spotted earlier.

The two had just finished sparring and were on the way to the locker room before spotting you and Monoma speaking alone in the halls. He had flowers and a card in his hands and you were smiling at him.

Curious, the two hid behind the corner to watch. Unfortunately they could not hear the conversation.

“Oh come on! Out of all the choices she has and she chooses Monoma!?” Denki whispered shouted.

“Shhhh Denki.”

They watched in silence as you two spoke. Monoma gave you the flowers and the card. You two spoke for a moment more before walking off together.

“Shit. Bakugou’s not gonna be happy about this.” Denki nodded in agreement.

It’s not like Bakugou had ever actually admitted that he likes you, but to his friends it was oh so obvious.

The way he shouted less when you were around. The way you got him to share things he wouldn’t have told his class in a billion years. And the way his glare softened when you spoke to him. And now he stood in the middle of the hall with his friends feeling absolutely stupid for letting this much time pass.

“I still can’t believe she’s choose Monoma over anybody.” Kirishima said almost disgusted.

“Yeah I mean if she wanted a loud and cocky blonde I don’t see why she didn’t choose Kacchan. I mean you two are way closer, or at least I thought you were.”

“Shut it dunce face.” Bakugou spoke almost calmly. But he was seething. Small sounds of popping and the smell of smoke filled the quiet halls, as Bakugou’s palms crackled in anger.

The next day at school you walked alongside Mina on your way to class. You spotted Bakugou and waved to him but he just grunted and stomped away.

You looked at Mina to make sure you weren’t crazy. She was confused too. You see Kirishima and Denki hadn’t told her about their snooping the day before, knowing it’d get back to you immediately.

Later at lunch you found your usual lunch table which consist of: Sero, Kirishima, Jirou, Denki, Mina, and of course Bakugou.

“Hey guys!” You said sitting your tray down and sliding next to Sero, with Bakugou right in front ot you.

Everybody spoke back to except for Bakugou.

“Tch.” He didn’t even look up at you. And the rest of lunch was pretty awkward too. Everyone tried to continue normally as Bakugou jabbed angrily at his food.

And to make matters worse.

“(Name)!” You looked beside you to see Monoma looking down at you, completely disregarding your other friends.

Bakugou was absolutely destroying whatever chicken was left in his curry.

“Thanks for taking the flowers. You have good taste in them too.” Monoma continued.

The jabbing noises stopped. Bakugou’s disposable bowl split in half and the remains of his food scattered across his tray. Everyone including you and Monoma looked at him in collective confusion.

“WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING AT?” He shouted and louder than normal. Now a good amount of the cafeteria was looking at your table. Even Midoriya from the table behind him jumped as if he want used to it.

Bakugou swiped his tray off the table and left.

When he got further away you asked your friends, “What the heck is wrong with him?” Denki looked away and Kirishima just shrugged. Jirou and Mina looked just as confused as you.

“I think he’s like jealous or something.” Sero whispered in your ear.

For the remainder of the week Bakugou ignored you with no explanation. In frustration you ignored him back.

You hung out with Monoma so many times this week, it was driving Bakugou up the wall.

And he couldn’t take it anymore.

“Class start studying the Roaring 20’s over the weekend. I’m serious, I’m gonna asked you about it next week.” Aizawa said as the bell dismissed all of class 1 - A.

“No we literally never did.” You shook your head. “Yeah, they said he gave you flowers and a note. And you can’t deny it ‘cause you were talking about it at lunch.”

“You’re right Bakugou. But those flowers weren’t for me. Monoma likes a girl…yes him! He needed advice so I told him flowers and a sweet card. He gave me the flowers since he needed to get them in her locker, and he can’t since he’s a boy, so I did it for him. I left the note with her too. He’s been asking me if I’m free because he needs advice on how to be more mellow around her. He’s not exactly nonchalant Bakugou.”

Bakugo just stood there with the most shook look on his face.

“So does that clear everything up?”

“Tch.” He looked away as he stuffed his hands in his pocket.

“But if I may ask, why did you care so much?” He twitched a bit.

“Because,” Bakugou sighed, “Because I…like you or whatever. Damnit I’ve liked you for a while. I don’t know how you don’t know that!” He huffed.

“Well I got a hunch.” You smiled at him. “I like you too Bakugou, and there’s no other crazy blonde im interested in other than you.” He just stared back but he couldn’t stop the corner of his lip curving upwards.

There was a bit of silence.

“Soooo what does this mean?” You ask him.

“Tch. I dunno. Just…let me take you somewhere tomorrow. I’ll get your more than whatever damn flowers Monoma bought.” You rolled your eyes and chuckled.

Bakugou started to walk down the hall slowly before stopping and turning back to you, “Well are you coming or not?”

You sped up to him and without a second thought, grabbed his hand in yours. He flinched for a millisecond before sighing. But he gave in and his fingers slowly slide into the crevices of yours.

“Don’t get used to this.” He says as his grip tightens anyway.
