He adored your clinginess. It made him feel good and needed. He also didn’t mind you being shy. He thought it was cute how you would grip his arm and stand halfway behind him when people would come up to talk to him. He would always be your protector if that is what you needed. He would never do anything to hurt you, so when you showed him the prank of telling you to shut up in front of his mom, he was a little skeptical.
“I don’t know, I would never do that to you, and my mom can be a little scary.” He says, rewatching the video of the prank. You give him your best puppy dog eyes.
“Please, Izu.” He agrees, knowing he can never say no to you. Kissing your forehead, he makes plans with his mom for the two of you to visit during the weekend.
His mom adored you. She thought that you were so soft-hearted and kind to her, Izuku. You were always so polite and helpful when you came over. She saw you as a part of the family, so when the next few sentences came out of her son’s mouth, she was embarrassed and outraged.
You were leaning up on Izuku’s arm as the two of you sat at the table, his mom at work in the kitchen preparing food for the three of you. She was making conversation with you and Izuku, happy for the two of you to be here. You started a conversation with Izuku to start the prank.
“Do you think we can go to the shops tomorrow?” Izuku acts like he is annoyed.
“I told you that I was going to train with Iida.”
“I didn’t think that would take all day.” You fake pout.
“I know I won’t feel like going afterwards.” You hear his mom stop what she is doing.
“Izu-“ Your mom starts, but is cut off by Izuku.
“ Geez (Y/N) shut up and stop being clingy, I told you we would go, that didn’t mean immediately.” You hear a dish clatter to the ground. The two of you whip your heads to see Izuku’s mom standing there, plate dropped and broken at her feet. Her eyes were ablazed, but her posture remained calm.
“Izuku Midoriya- I know I raised you better than that. Apologize now.” She says in a deathly calm voice.
“Oh, Ms. Midor-“ You start, but she interrupts you.
“No, dear, it seems my son has forgotten his manners and forgets what a wonderful girl you are. Izuku. Now.” She seethes at the end. Izuku looks at you.
“I told you she was scary.” He kisses your forehead, and a smile breaks out on your face.
“You’re right, I’m sorry, Izu.” His mom looks back and forth between you.
“What is happening?” She asks. You look at her.
“I’m sorry, Ms. Midoriya- it was my idea. There was a prank going around on social media, and I wanted to do it.” You get up and show her the video, her hand on her heart.
“Oh goodness, I’m so glad this was fake and that my son did not actually forget his manners.” She looks at Izuku, who looks sheepish, a little red on his cheeks.
“You are still going to clean up this plate.” She says as she walks away to finish making the food.
You bit your lip as you showed him the video. He raises an eyebrow at you when it ends.
“You want to play this prank on my mom?” He questions, trying to figure out how his mom would react to this. You nod your head and smile. He looks over your face. You look so adorable as you look up at him, hopeful, arm wrapped around his. He kisses your forehead.
“Okay, we can do it.” You smile widely, then start thinking of different conversations you can have while he messages his mom, letting her know that you will be accompanying him this weekend. You have only met his mom a handful of times, but she has been pleasant and sweet every time you have interacted with her. She never gave her thoughts on you in front of you, but Shoto says that she has nothing but good things to say about you when it’s just him around.
You were sitting in the small room, tea in hand, as you were all conversing. Your arm is wrapped around Shoto’s as you smile, softly nodding your head to what his mother was saying. You squeeze his arm slightly, a signal that you were going to start the prank.
“Thank you for letting me tag along with Shoto today. I was just telling you that-“ Shoto cuts you off.
“(Y/N)-“ He mumbles out. You look at him while your mother looks at him, confused about why he would cut you off.
“What? I was just going to tell her that-“
“Shut up.” A gasp escapes his mother’s lips. Her eyes are wide as she looks back and forth between the two of you.
“Shoto, that is very disrespectful.” His mother scolds. She looks at you apologetically. “I’m sorry on behalf of my son. I know I wasn’t around for him, but I didn’t think his manners were this bad.” You look at his mom, sincerity in her eyes and voice, along with a hint of guilt. You squeeze Shoto’s arm with your hand.
“No, don’t apologize, Ms. Todoroki. I need to apologize- there is this prank that is trendy online, and I wanted to try it. I didn’t think about how it would make you feel.” She looks confused.
“What trend?” You pull out your phone and show her the video. She watches it, and a small smile graces her face. Shoto looks at his mom warily. His mom makes eye contact with Shoto.
“I’m happy that you were comfortable enough to play a joke on me.” Her eyes glide over to yours.
“You got me, I believed my son was being serious.” Her smile grows while your chest eases from anxiety that you might have messed up. You smile back at her while Shoto looks back and forth between the most important people in his life, happy that they get along so well.
He never understood how you could be so shy in public, but still post videos on your social media. You never talked into the camera directly, but you would do all the different trends and even include him in some of the videos. It was no surprise that you wanted to do another video with him, but when he saw what it was, he was a little reluctant.
“Aw, man, my mom would literally kill me. That mom threw a shoe, but my mom would throw me.” You give him the best puppy dog look while you put your hands on his chest. His weakness- whenever you would touch and run your hands on his muscles.
“Please, Kiri.” You pout. He groans.
“You know I can’t say no when you look so cute. Fine- I will text my mom.” You smile big and kiss his cheek, causing him to smile while he texts his mom for permission to bring you for dinner this weekend. His mother immediately says yes, loving how sweet and caring you are to her, Eijiro. She excitedly starts to tell her husband that you will be joining the family dinner as well, and to get out the special dishware.
At her house, you have Kirishima discreetly set up your phone, as his mom is not taking her eyes off of you, talking to you animatedly as she finishes up the meal. When he has the camera positioned where all of you will be eating, he slides back over to you, wrapping an arm around your waist and planting a kiss on your temple.
During dinner, your mother and you are talking while Kiri and his father are enjoying the food prepared. When you start talking next, that is when Eijiro, despite the anxiety in his stomach from his mother’s wrath, does the prank.
“Shut up, babe, no one wants to hear about the shopping trip.” He says. You have to hold back a smile, but the table is deathly quiet. Kirishima is scared to look at his mom, but when he does- chaos erupts.
“I know you were raised better than that!” She yells as she gets up. Kirishima is quick to his feet as he runs away from his mother around the family room.
“Mom! It was a joke! It was a joke!” He yells as he dodges the various things she is throwing at him.
“The disrespect! That sweet girl, you were raised better!” She yells, trying to get her hands on him, not listening to what he is saying.
“Mrs. Kirishima! It’s a prank- look!” You call out, pointing to your phone that is recording. That causes her to stop and look where you are pointing. She looks at you, breathing a little hard.
“Does he ever disrespect you, sweetness?” She asks gently, like she wasn’t a tornado of anger and fury two seconds ago. You shake your head, smiling.
“Eijiro is the perfect gentleman.” She nods as she sits down, but looks at Kiri and glares.
“You make me run around like that for no reason again, you will have more than just shoes and pillows thrown at you.” Kiri sits down, also out of breath.
You hugged him while the two of you watched videos together. When the prank video came across your screen, you immediately thought about how Katsuki’s mom would flip out and would be hilarious.
“We should do this to your mom.” You say nonchalantly. He looks down at you like you are crazy.
“The hell we should, that hag is crazy as it is. Imagine if I said that to you in front of her.” You giggle.
“That’s why it would be funny.” He sucks his teeth, loving the giggle that came out of your mouth. He thinks for a moment as he looks at your pleading face; he has a love/hate relationship with his soft spot for you.
“Tch, fine, but the bruises she or I get are your fault.” You hug him tight as he pulls out his phone to let his mom know that you are coming home with him this weekend.
When that weekend comes, his mom will greet you happily. She thinks you are good for Katsuki and has been able to soften him up despite his explosive personality. She leads you into the house and snaps at Katsuki to take your things and put them by the entrance. Katsuki clenches his jaw but abides without a comeback, something that his mother definitely noticed.
His mother is talking to you enthusiastically, saying that she wishes you would come around more and how it has been too long. She starts some tea for everyone, and you update her on your family and your classes.
You are all seated in the family room, making light conversation when the conversation drifts to Katsuki and your relationship. You were telling his mom a story about a date the two of you had not that long ago when he interrupts you.
“Tch, shut up- it wasn’t a big deal. She doesn’t need to know every detail of our business.” The room went quiet for a beat, two beats. Then his mother LUNGED. She tackled Katsuki to the floor, strangling him (not really, but the act), yelling at him.
“I know you did not just tell the sweet, caring girl to shut up! I know I raised you better than that to have manners! How dare you be disrespectful to her!” Katsuki yells back at his mom.
“Get off of me, you old hag!”
“I am your mother, your business is my business! Do not ever disrespect that girl again, I will beat you into next year!” She yells, not listening to anything Katsuki has to say.
“It was a prank, get off me before I blast you!” Katsuki yells. Your giggle stops both of them, your giggle turns into a laugh, until you have tears in your eyes from laughing so hard at the two of them. Katsuki can’t help but melt, and a small smile forms on his face. His mother takes notice and gets off him and dusts herself off. She turns to you.
“If he ever does disrespect you like that and is serious, you have my permission to beat the hell out of him.” You giggle again and nod your head. Meanwhile, Katsuki is grumbling about how he knew this was a bad idea and shouldn’t have agreed to such a stupid prank.
You have only met Neito’s parents a handful of times, and it was never at their house, only at school events. To you, they seemed very respectable and knowledgeable. According to Neito at home, they are softer, more playful, but still big on respect and manners.
The few times you did meet them, your shyness would show, but your manners were impeccable. His parents were very impressed with you, even if you were shy, and they saw how Neito would look at you like you hung the stars in the sky, always making sure to either be holding your hand or your waist. His parents were happy that Neito found someone who made him feel good and want to be a better person/hero.
When the video came across your phone. You rewatched it a few times and wondered what Neito’s mom would do in that situation. Your curiosity got the best of you, and when you saw Neito later that day, you showed him the video.
“You want to do this to my mom?” Neito questioned you as he rubbed circles on your back, rewatching the video. He thinks about what his mom would do. You nod your head.
“You said your parents were playful at home, right? Who doesn’t enjoy a good prank?” You press. “This would also be a good time for me to come over for an official dinner.” Neito thinks about it for a moment.
“Why not? I’m curious about how she would react, too.” He says, then pulls out his phone, asking his parents if it would be okay for you to come over for dinner this weekend while he is home. When he gets a yes as a reply, the two of you start to formulate a plan on how to execute the prank.
That weekend, you are sitting down watching as Neito and his parents are prepping everything needed for the dinner. Neito is busy making tea while his parents are doing the actual cooking. You asked countless times if you could help, but each time you were dismissed and told to relax, as you are a guest. You see what Neito meant by his parents being playful. They would make little jokes to each other. Steal kisses on the cheek and overall be super cute. It’s something you hope you can have one day- hopefully with Neito.
During dinner, it is a casual conversation, mainly his parents asking questions about you to get to know you better. They ask you a question about your quirk and what they saw during the sports festival. You go into the story that they were asking about when Neito sighs.
“I have heard this story a million times. We get it, shut up.” He snaps. His parents' jaws are slack, staring at their son, while you try not to laugh. Their faces are clearly shocked and trying to process what just happened and what they should do.
“Neito.” Your mother states.
“Apologize right now.” His dad finishes. Neito continues eating like nothing happened. His father looks at you.
“I am terribly sorry for our son’s poor manners.” His father states, meanwhile, that you can see his mother is getting visibly angry.
“Apologize, I don’t care if you heard that story 3 million times. You will cherish it when the person you are with is talking. How dare you tell her to keep quiet?” His mom snaps. Neito has never seen his mom this upset.
“Mom, it was a prank.” Her lips thin out, and then she replies.
“I’m sorry, Mrs. Monoma, it was my idea- there is a prank going around and Neito said you were playful at home, so we were curious how you would react.” You explain while pulling out your phone. His parents watch the video, and relief floods through them.
“Oh, thank goodness,” His mom starts, “for a moment I thought we failed as parents.” His dad chuckles.
“We raised a good boy, and we see he has found a prankster for a partner.” You breathe a sigh of relief that they are not mad at either you or Neito and continue the dinner, jokes, and laughter being shared the rest time you are there.
