Part 2 of this stupid shitshow

We still don’t have running water. Yes, months later it’s still not fixed. There’s a confluence of reasons, but a very quick summary: my mother’s common sense gets flushed straight down the toilet when she’s desperate, and my own health tanked right before Christmas and stayed tanked until maybe a week and a half ago so I couldn't ‘fix it myself’.

For anyone who’s never lived without running water, it adds an exhausting 2-10 extra steps to everything you do, and it’s burning through all my (extremely limited) daily energy just to exist.

I don’t have a lot I can offer to do for people for money (I don’t have enough of my examples for building websites up yet to properly try and get that going). Even so, I’m going to try and see if I can maybe the $2-3k or so myself while my mother faffs around pretending this isn’t an emergency worth spending money on to fix.

For anyone who can donate anything, here’s my KoFi.

If you don't have the extra to give, then definitely don't send anything - I don’t want to add to the number of people suffering from this situation.

If anyone who does donate wants something in the future - like me making them a specific custom sim, or taking high-effort screenshots of their character in S4 or FFXIV, or some kind-of Photoshop editing work - that’s about the only things I can offer as gratuity right now.

I can do some website design things, too, as I mentioned, but I don’t expect anyone to need that sorta thing here – but hey, if you do, I’m happy to take commissions for CSS-based coding work! I still don’t have my examples set up, but you can see at least some things I can do here on my WIP personal site (progress on it halted entirely back when the water went out, so only the FFXIV part has things on it).

Hopefully planning to make a couple simple pride edits over the next week. Recovering from a mild (but really annoying) infection atm, so for now it's mostly gonna be prep work more than anything (fixing the old CC the sims I wanna take screens of use lol).

I continue to be amazed that people still just...willingly install Gshade on their PCs. I hope ya'll are at least using one of the forks, and not the one ran by the dude who forced an update with some petty bullshit in it. "Convenience" is nice right up until baby has a tantrum again and suddenly that "convenience" now costs $2k for a new PC.

When I say 'I've been asleep all week' that's only a slight exaggeration. I finally figured out why yesterday, though - my CPAP had a massive leak in the mask because part of it wasn't snapped back into place after it was cleaned recently, so I've been getting like, 1/4 my normal oxygen 🙃

I took it apart and very carefully put it back together yesterday, making sure all the bits were snugly set in where they should be...and then proceeded to pass out for fifteen hours with it strapped to my face the whole time so. Here's hoping I really did fix all the leaks rofl.
