[2026-08-03] This has been the warmest / dryest summer of decades, and it rained as I walked up the Westend and onto Round Hill, Barrow Stones and Grinah Stones. Only then could I take my waterproofs off as the clouds started to clear. Next was the walk over to Bleaklow Stones . As I walked down The Ridge the clouds cleared and the sun came out. And yes the sun really came out as I approached Westend Moor trig point. A very hot descent to the car at the west end of Westend. A great day though, especially the views once descending Bleaklow Stones.
