I have been promoting hip hop events since 1999 here in Morgantown. It started with my group 304 Reconz, it was about creating a outlet for local hip hop artist who did not have a place to perform and work on their craft. I kind of retired form promotions a couple years back, but artist was always asking when I was gonna throw another show, or new upcoming artist would say “I heard you were the guy for hip hop shows”, and at what time I was, but not something I was doing as I got older, and started to concentrate on other musical projects. As a ambassador for WV Hip Hop I felt a obligation to keep a outlet open, and as a supporter of all arts I felt compelled to look out for other artist. So I created a re-recurring event called “The Cypher Build Network” with the objective as a event where artist could perform, network with other artist, and most important, work TOGETHER. Hip Hop has always been a competitive art form, from battles, and cyphers, in a environment like this their needs to be good leadership, and I think this event is a reminder to local hip hop artist to work together, use each other as resources. Yes there can be LOVE in Hip Hop (yeah, may be asking alot, lol).

There is some real talent in the Morgantown hip hop scene, here is a quick run down of what you can expect at tonights #TCBN event!
