Can anyone point me to mythological creatures that are reanimated structures? I wanna avoid using “Golem” since the creature I have in mind is a mindless attacker. Specifically im ripping off a bone golem from dnd but i feel like theres some better creatures out there.

I could use a bone devil concept but i want something a bit less than a demon for a first encounter type scene.

There’s this monster…creature…Fae? I can’t even remember what it might be classified as but I’ve been trying to Google it and nothing is coming up because I don’t know the name.

All I remember is that the creature itself is blind, and it sees by looking through the eyes of animals. Birds, dogs, that sort of thing. I think it might be Irish but I can’t say for sure.

Anyone out there think this is familiar? I’m dying for a name y’all. My kingdom for a freaking name. 😭 😂
