The tragedy of the film “Gremlins” is that the gremlins are not evil. They just are not being given enough enrichment.
Well, that and the fact that it’s irresponsible to give a pet at Christmas. A gremlin is a years long commitment. We aren’t sure how many years because no gremlin in captivity has died of natural causes (neither has a gremlin owner).
A gremlin needs materials to build death traps, cause trouble, and scheme. Each gremlin should have had at least a LEGO set and box of mixed cutlery, maybe a clock radio as a treat. If you can score one of the old metal erector sets that had the sharp metal edges, you are golden.
