There's no way anyone can find this and it kinda saddens me because I just remembered it

when i was a kid there was like a geek magazine that talked about cartoons and animes and video games, that had a random "choose your own adventure" thing (musn't have been more than 25 numbered pargraphs) where you were supposed to defeat an evil queen bee girl (human sized iirc, with not that much monster appeal I guess, like yellow woman with some bee attributes, while her guards were buff dudes with bee heads). I think there was a couple of colored drawings to go with it

If you picked the "wrong" choices one of the "bad" ending was basically you were captured and transported to the throne room where she was, you'd taunt her or something, she'd kiss you on the mouth and sting you in the kiss, making you pass out and then you woke up being turned into an obedient one of her guard. I think it may have done stuff to my brain.

Also to add insult to injury I'm French so this was in a French magazine, that should have come out between 2003-2010 I guess. I have zero clue where to start.

I don't have a lot of therapy sessions this month, so I'm doing work on my own.

Firstly, I wanted to make this post without a filter (except for the right side) I think this is the first time I've ever posted bare face here lol but anyway, venting under the cut-

I grew up fairly abused. Mostly neglect, but I got my ass beat with a belt, whatever was close by thrown at my head, screamed at, hit, insulted- the typical 90s kid corporal punishments for whatever dumb thing my parents wanted to be mad at a child about.

That aside, my mother was a hairdresser up until about a decade ago. But I could never do something with my hair she didn't like. In the early 2000s, when I was in high school, straightening your hair was like, all the rage, right. As I was desperate to fit in, that's all I wanted her to do, straightened my hair. She wouldn't. I couldn't dye my hair black, either. Or cut it short because, according to her, I would hate it (I rock it).

I've dyed my hair black when I was 20 (fucking rocked that shit too) and earlier this year, I dyed half of it black, keeping half natural brown. On top of chopping it all off and still looking cute as hell.

So here I am, short, straight, half dyed (though super faded, it's still noticeable in the right lighting) and killing it with no filter because I just cannot spend another day of my life hating the way i look due to her projections.

The better answer is what monsters DON’T I want to peg?? I’m not picky, but my top monster picks would have to be werewolf’s (obviously), dragons and probably centaurs if we’re talking actual monsters. In media the answer is obviously much different. More personally picked.
