1) What is your least favourite colour? Orange! It is always too bright and in-my-face.

2) If you could only drink one beverage for a day, which one would it be? Definitely water, I can't go without it.

3) The best-sounding language, in your opinion. French. It's just so melodious and easy on the ears. 4) Something you’ve recently achieved and are very proud of. It doesn't sound calming per se, but it helps me let go and forget my troubles, then I feel calmer.

8) A corner of your city you love. I love going to the airport to just sit with a good book. 9) How would you feel about spending your whole life in the same place? I suppose I'd feel a bit regretful that I don't get to see the world, but then again I have so many worlds in my head I think they'd be good company too. 10) A film/book/other you’re constantly referencing. The Hitchhiker's to the Galaxy (misnamed) trilogy! So many good quotes in there, and they work for so many situations. 11) What did you expect when you joined Tumblr? Not much at all. I'd moved here from Blogger, so I expected it'd be just another blogging site. I didn't expect to meet so many new and great friends, and I certainly didn't expect to be able to make a living (small, for now, but great) from what it inspired me to do. I've met so many like-minded people and I love how I've found myself here.

I haven't been this happy in such a long time.

I haven't had the best of days lately, and I really wasn't in the mood to celebrate my birthday, but I have the best of friends and family, and they fixed that.

Last week, my family got me a necklace, a jewellery box, and (here's the best part) takeaway pizza that we all ate while watching television and home videos. I know the pizza part sounds strange to normal humans, but you Tumblr peeps understand, don't you?

Then on Monday, my friends surprised me with a yogurt cake and some of the most amazing presents I've ever received.

A loofah, which is so pretty I think I'll turn it into something else that won't be hidden in the bathroom.

A Ravenclaw pen! I started freaking out when I unwrapped the box and saw the Harry Potter logo. It's brilliant, because I'm a Ravenclaw, and I love writing. Then I opened the second box...

Luna Lovegood's wand. If we hadn't been in a public place, I might have screamed my head off. And the significance of this, as my friends told me, is because they want me to be "strong and unique and not give a damn about what others think of me, just like Luna".

And here's the very, very best part! (I really appreciate the wand and the pen, girls, but I love what comes next even more.)

Handwritten letters from each and every one of them! I'm a sucker for such cards and letters.

I honestly don't deserve all these fantastic people making me so happy. Thank you, girls <3

And now my family's bringing me out for dinner for the "real day", which is today, even though I told them the pizza was perfect. I love them all so much.
