Yes am working on a one shot, maybe a two shot of the clones as mermen who prey on women (and mentions others as as well). @cherrycodeddynamite has allowed me to use her OC Angel for this fic. I love me some bride stealing. A little sneak peak:
“Tamayo, they say, was a legend,” she said. “But in my lifetime, three women vanished within twenty years.”
A hush fell over the hall.
“There was Kotoha,” Oharu continued. “She had a singing voice so sweet the fishermen would pause their work to listen. She went to the rocks by the sea in daylight and sang her songs, thinking herself safe.”
Oharu’s grip tightened on her cane.
“She and her infant were taken before her husband’s eyes. The sea rose without warning and closed over them upon the low cliffs, as though it had opened its mouth.”
No one moved.
“They say the one who came for her was no spirit of mist or tide, but a giant of a merman. Long black hair, skin dark as wet stone, a tail red and black like blood in water.”
Oharu paused, her gaze distant now.
“The fishermen swear that in the dead of night they can still hear her crying. Not screaming. Crying. Begging to be brought back. They say she drags boats beneath the waves and curses the waters she was taken into.”
Her voice dropped lower.
“They say she bore him many sons, each one a testament to his power and his name. Whether she lived after, or whether the sea simply kept her voice, no one can say.”
No one spoke. Though the girls had heard the stories since childhood, this was the first time names had been given.
“The elder was broken by it,” Oharu said quietly. “Kotoha was his daughter. The child taken with her was his grandson. Most believe the babe was devoured before the water ever closed.”
Her mouth thinned.
“After that, all women were forbidden from the shores.”
