Today I was in Burbank to go to Riled Up Boutique. My goal was to see Lisa and Javier. When I got there they were closed. I was pretty bummed they had left already. I haven’t seen with in over 2 years. To console myself I remembered Pinocchio’s was close. It has been at least 5/6 years since I’ve had the delight of eating at the legendary Pinocchio’s. My best friend Duff and I would gluttenize on an Italian feast when I’d visit him in the Valley. So headed over to have my dinner. Here my Pinocchio’s Chef Salad followed by the Pinocchio Special Sausage Pepperoni Pepper Mushroon Pizza with Artichoke Hearts. The desire goes back to San Diego when Duff and I would eat at Mt. Etna’s Pizza near state at 3am in the morning after a big music night. Oh, all the memories! I spent a little time buying Pinocchio’s custom ravioli. (Lobster Nettuno, wild mushrooms ravioli, five cheeses ravioli and butternut squash ravioli) It’s was nuts to do but I’m looking forward to some unique authentic pasta meals in the near future. I finished the salad. Then I put down half the pizza. Skipped the gelato although I desperately wanted some and started back. I was stuffed but I wasn’t feeling any desire for more adventure. I’m going to find Lisa and Javier soon and we’re going to celebrate! @pinocchiospizza #montecarlodeli #thevalley #italianrestaurant #italiandeli https://www.instagram.com/p/CS3I_p_vp8v/?utm_medium=tumblr
