would "weirdo whose a little bit horrific about her social ineptness" be an accurate interpretation for isla? very beautiful & shiny on the outside but beneath that veneer she's a touch depraved and it SHOWS
i love this ! when creating isla, our base was : very bookish, a little witchy or superstitious, maybe a wee bit off-putting. her character is all about contradictions; academic yet superstitious / spiritual, beautiful but unusual, etc. i think you're definitely headed in an interesting direction, and can't wait to read what you come up with.
do we need to wait until sept 3 to submit apps or is that when you start reviewing them?
our submit box is currently closed, but it'll be open & ready for apps SEP 3. we're so excited and wish we could open sooner, but that's the day we're both off work <3
regarding app reviews / acceptance : harper & i will set a tentative acceptance date after the submit box opens, though our goal is to have at least 1 app per muse before setting anything in stone. yippee !
do the headcanons have to be long? or can they be a little short? i'm having a lot of little ones, but i'm not sure if they're good enough.
that's perfectly fine ! not all of them need to be novels. if you see in the example app, mine are varied in length— some being 1-2 sentences, and others being more in-depth.
we're just looking to see how well applicants grasp the basis of each muse we've created, along with individual interpretations and ideas. get creative ! you're also welcome to add as many hc's as you like, though we do ask for a minimum of 4-5.
do you guys like "characters as ___" questions? if so could i request the classic "characters as the cinnamon roll / could kill you" meme?
these are my faaave asks !! i decided to graph this out since it's a bit of a spectrum for each character. if you interpret a muse differently, though, we'd love to hear about why in your app :)
are the only joining options as the cast of characters who show up when you click on muses?
yes ! due to the nature of this group ( character-driven with a semi-planned story ), we needed to keep the cast small. we hope one of the six available skeletons speaks to you !!
