Montgomery Clift and Elizabeth Taylor in "A place in the sun"
Posing for a Photoplay Magazine photo shoot in 1949. The priceless caption reads: āMontyās long lean frame is deceptive. Heās built himself up by hard labor and fast riding. Heās won medals for skiing and once in Cuba he put a āSupermanā to shame in a swimming contest.ā Iām glad they appreciated the badass they were dealing with! šŖš» šāāļø šš½ #montgomeryclift #montyfilm (at Greenville, North Carolina) https://www.instagram.com/p/CR61JBRlwSx/?utm_medium=tumblr
Printed a photo of my favorite old film actor, Montgomery Clift, and hung it up in my room with all my other vintage things.
A few days after the B&W I added a colorized version, which I think I'll keep over the B&W because it fits my aesthetic wall better!
The only line thatās wrong in Shakespeare is āholding a mirror up to nature.ā You hold a magnifying glass up to nature. As an actor you just enlarge it enough so that your audience can identify with the situation. If it were a mirror, we would have no art.
