Your favorite part of your day.

Smelling an endless amount of candles with Oliver. Since I worked last night at the hospital, I knew I would need to sleep during the day. But, I was determined to not sleep all damn day, since I promised him we would put up our Christmas tree. Welllll I ended up sleeping from 8am - 6pm. I also knew that Bath & Body Works was having their annual Candle Day Sale ($8.95 for a $23 candle.) I figured it would be a good time to get some candles for myself and one for my sister. Oliver and I decided that she needed an ocean scented candle. So we began our sniffing. He finally chose one called Paradise something or other, and we picked out a couple for myself. All in all it was a pretty good time with him.

July 9: What do you spend your time thinking about?

God’s existence.

This is something I think about everyday because I feel so disconnected from Her. How will God react to my being queer? I struggle with this everytime I replay the conversation with my mom in my head. Unfortunately this, together what my purpose is, consumes my thoughts, leaving me with very little time for creativity, which I used to enjoy.

Day 4/5: Something that excites/worries you

The next steps of my life.

I am moving to a new, lively city in the Midwest (one of my favorite places in ‘Murica) to start a Master’s program.

What excites me the most is moving into my first apartment and decorating it and living with people I love and just the idea of shaping up a space to make it mine just thrills me because I’ve never had that. When I did have my own space, it was the guest room (which I was not allowed to change) because I went to boarding school for most of the year.

Funny enough, the same thing worries me.
