What needs to happen this month?

I need to get my tree up, finish Christmas shopping, wrap the presents, get enough sleep, stop spending absurd amounts of money, stay calm.

Your favorite part of your day.

Smelling an endless amount of candles with Oliver. Since I worked last night at the hospital, I knew I would need to sleep during the day. But, I was determined to not sleep all damn day, since I promised him we would put up our Christmas tree. Welllll I ended up sleeping from 8am - 6pm. I also knew that Bath & Body Works was having their annual Candle Day Sale ($8.95 for a $23 candle.) I figured it would be a good time to get some candles for myself and one for my sister. Oliver and I decided that she needed an ocean scented candle. So we began our sniffing. He finally chose one called Paradise something or other, and we picked out a couple for myself. All in all it was a pretty good time with him.

I think I want to try and get to know myself.

I say that knowing full well that within 2 weeks I will abandon this. Maybe I already know myself.

I am no writer. I never claim to be. I never really want to be. But I saw these monthly journal prompts, and I thought it wouldn't be a bad idea to try. I have prompts for each month, and I think I'll post my prompt answers here.

Here's hoping I actually try to keep this up. I'll make my first post later tonight (12/1).

Played around with my NYX Ultimate Brights to do a rainbow eye. I'm not totally in love with this pallet. Not a lot of color pay off. Had to play around with the shadow for 45 minutes. The look definitely needs work, but I don't totally hate it.

The First Trailer for ‘Loving Vincent,’ an Animated Film Featuring 12 Oil Paintings per Second by Over 100 Painters

The first trailer for Loving Vincent (previously) was just released and it promises stunning visuals in a novel format: the film was created from a staggering 12 oil paintings per second in styles inspired by the famous Dutch painter’s brushstrokes. The upcoming movie will detail the story of Van Gogh’s life leading up to the tumultuous time surrounding his death some 125 years ago. According to the filmmakers, over 100 painters have contributed frames to the ambitious feature-length film that is still in progress at their headquarters in Gdansk, Poland. The film is currently being produced by Oscar-winning studios BreakThru Films and Trademark Films, and you can follow their progress or even get involved yourself on their website. Thanks Colossal
