They probably would, but you know, ultimately it'd be his choice. He's a human being, not a robot.

I think it’s kind of like how I hate The Newsroom. It’s so bad but I can’t pull myself away from it. Which by the way you really need to see it— I read you those tweets it is… Such a trainwreck.

This is the most likely answer to be honest. He's addicted to it, despite knowing how bad it is.

Sure, it's easy money, but his trolling is made up of him saying how he's lost his dignity because he's in Twilight, and you know, if you really believe that, then you'd give up the money.

other movies wouldn’t have offered him work if he broke a contract with a movie before like he’d be untrustworthy and he’d never get any money :3

He'd already starred in a number of films, and he could just have said that the quality or whatever was below him. It's not like he would never have been offered a job again if he'd ditched Twilight. And you know, he wasn't exactly dirt-poor when he joined the crew and he was paid $2,000 000 for appearing in the first film.

In order for the average American retail worker to earn the same amount, they would have to work a total of 102 years (at an annual salary of $19,610) 

Even as an American Veterinarian earning roughly $71,000 a year you'd have to work for 28 years before you'd have earned the same amount of money as Robert got for one single film.
