my mom’s hair is growing back now so she put colour in it for the first time (natural grey with blue and pink streaks) BUT it’s gotten so long now that unless she puts some product in it she looks like a Hoob and she does her silly dancing that makes it flop around and anyway that’s how we checked off goofiness from the nine delights list today <3

forever trying to channel the energy of my mom taking my father on a movie-date in 1994 to see The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert in theatres without telling him the plot

drinking a late night hot chocolate and thinking about the time that my mom really wanted to make hot chocolate one night but we were out of milk and instead of driving five minutes to safeway, she ordered two bottles of milk 2 go from dairy queen on skip the dishes and it took like 35 minutes to get to us <3

made a playlist of songs that my mom spontaneously sings random lines from without warning

my mom’s home from work so we’re watching the men’s half pipe finals which we recorded and out of nowhere she just went “so Michael Bublé’s still at Safeway”

my mom is proposing a three person heist to steal the full size Michael Bublé cutout from the bubly display at Safeway

my mom went to the Graceland tour concert at Maple Leaf Gardens in 1987 btw. bc of course she did.

oh also last night when we were playing monopoly chest deep in the soundtrack to Saturday Night Fever my mom revealed that she saw Andy Gibb in Pirates of Penzance in Toronto in 1981. what hasn’t she done.
