How do you find such accurate inspo pics for your dr boards??! They're so aesthetic and pretty 💞💞

first, thank uu so much!! you're so so sweet!! second, i thought i would explain how i make moodboards because it is practically the same process. so, i spend at least twenty minutes && many iterations to reach the end product of my moodboards. i just love curating them so much ( most likely the reason i hold the moodboard events so often ) <3

i have picked a few examples below to talk about my steps :

color scheme⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀⊹⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀i tend to pick three colors. usually, it comes from scrolling through my pinterest feed && choosing the first photo that sparks something. ( it sounds way more dramatic than it is 😭 ) from that starting photo i'll pick out three colors from it to pull other photos to it. using the search concept of " [ color ] [ thing / person / idea ] aesthetic " on pinterest.

certain items / vibe⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀⊹⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀if i want a specific item or vibe within the moodboard i will search in pinterest " [ item / vibe ] aesthetic " and things along those lines. using adjectives in your searches on pinterest helps a lot to find exactly what you want.

layout⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀⊹⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀the examples show my most common layout of moodboards. i always try to make sure the three color theme is evenly distributed within the block of pictures. ex. blue and cream on bottom left + blue and cream on top right, white and brown on top left + white and brown on bottom right / yellow and black on bottom left + yellow and black on top right, black and pink on top left + black and pink on bottom right.

Walk with me here, the trad/romantic goth styles, but mixed with strawberry shortcake. Like, I love black, and bats, and blood, and death, but also strawberries and cake.

Like imagine if there was a trad/romantic goth character in strawberry shortcake who smells like strawberries, blood and wet cemetery dirt.

ik im a moodboard acc but ive gaslighted myself into thinking that EVERYTHING has to match the idol of the mb but ive seen mbs where its the opposite

Moodboard Help?

So here's the thing, too often I see the excuse of "all I can find are white women" when the topic of inclusivity comes up regarding moodboards. Soooo in response to that I went ahead and put a little something together, and I present you all with this:

It's still a work in progress and likely always will be as new pictures and content get found but as of now I have three boards for you to peruse through. Black femme reader, Asian femme reader, and Spanish/Latina femme reader. Each board has sections for different vibes and aesthetics as well.

Hopefully people find it helpful, and I am always open to suggestions for sections, or if you find a photo you think needs to be added feel free to tag me or drop it in my inbox so I can put it in.

Does anyone know of any good apps/websites where I can change the hair color of a character in a picture?

Or just a general photo editing website. I'm trying to make a moodboard for inspiration for one of my fics and I need to change one of the character's hair colors. I'm such a noob with this kind of stuff... I'd prefer free, obviously.

Moodboard / Aesthetics

I really really really want a moodboard / aesthetic to have as my lockscreen or just to like.. have?? I’m terrible at making them (for what I want lately) and I’m having trouble finding a tumblr that’s taking requests right now, I recently accepted myself as Agender and started using the name Fae so i’d greatly appreciate if someone could make me an Agender w/ Fae name association aesthetic or moodboard thing?? Or tell me where I can request one I want something I can look at to remind myself I made the right choice and to just pick me up, its stupid but important to me. Thanks again!
