My fiancé works remote so he’s able to text a lot more than I can, as someone who works as a therapist meeting with back to back clients. And it’s so sweet coming out of work and seeing a barrage of texts that’s just random stuff like “miss you” “drank water” “saw a bird and thought of you” “here’s a meme of a cute dog”
Eating ice cream on the front porch watching the storm with beloved and we were talking about romance in fiction and I looked away wistfully and said something along the lines of “they just can never do it justice. No romance in a story can match what it’s like to love you” and I hear a strangled noise and turn over to see him. with an entire mint chocolate drumstick. Lodged in his throat.
Damn I guess the stories really don’t do it justice
Having a really nasty concoction of seasonal depression, post COVID brain fog, imposter syndrome/burnout from work, and PMDD anxiety that is making my everyday living hell atm. Prayers would be appreciated
Alright fellas after 40 days of virtually no screens (only basic messaging functions and in greyscale) I hate to report it but the problem really is those gosh dang screens.
So far: -My attention span greatly improved -My sleep schedule drastically improved -My anxiety has improved -I have a better sense of the passage of time -I've had way more time then I previously thought (I've read several books) - My eating habits are getting better I turned my phone back into full color today and literally Ive been feeling the anxiety levels increase in my body from it

Nothing funnier then trying to write a guest list with family for a wedding when youre inviting online friends. "Yes this person is important for me to invite. No I do not know their address, phone number, email, or last name. I'm pretty sure I remember their first name? Maybe not"
Opening up a new fic like ah yes. time for some light reading
Most of the time if I order food I don’t hear a peep from the delivery driver until the food arrives but my driver today has been texting me every step of the way like “on my way 🫡 “ “in line 🫡 “ “order is running late, hell or high water I will make sure it is on time 🫡” “food obtained 🫡 “ “driving to your location now 🫡 “ I feel like I have a little operative delivering me a top secret package.
